It is a nice shop with friendly staff. To buy Weed you have to go upstairs. There you can play pool too. The weed is almost cheap but unfortunately the quality isn't so good! I had their K2 but I receive here at home a better quality.

My favorite coffee shop. Friendly staff, good smoke at good prices and a wicked hostel just across the road.

Blues Brothers is a great coffee shop, friendly staff, good smoke and good coffee. Not a very big place so if you want a seat you'll need to go when it's not very busy. We managed to get the pool table almost every time we went, which was ideal. If you're shooting some pool you can sit with the big windows open and watch the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam's main shopping street. It's one of the few coffee shops amongst the shops which makes it perfect for a mid-shopping smoke. The lighting and seating downstairs is really cool, if a little impractable, upstairs is definitely designed more for a smoke & chill. Watch out for the stairs though!

From the first time I walked into this place, I was pleasantly impressed. The bartendress (can't remember her name off hand) was extremely pleasant. She showed up across the street at the Pig after we had stopped in to BB, and dropped a gram on the bar; told us to hold onto it. She's a sweetheart, and quite a cutie too. Love the accent. The tender upstairs (I must say, those steps are perilous haha) is a delightful guy who won't try to rook you into buying something you don't want. If you ask me, BB's best selection had to be the Jack Herrer. I paid 15 euro, and the bag was plump and crystally.
It was more than enough to set me over after driving back from Barcelona. Best part, both the tender and the bartendress remembered me and my buddy being there and from the Pig. It pays to make friends in Amsterdam :) As for location: I mean, come on. Anything on Nieuwendijk is guaranteed to garner a lot of business. It's right around the corner from the Dam (suggest you get a banana ball when you're down there, only 2 euro. You definitely should check this place out. It's well worth it.

I love this place, don't care what any of the other punters say this is the one place I could just spend the whole duration of a long weekend in Amsters; just lounging on the comfy cushion thingys at the back of the ground floor, drifting off into my own little happy place whilst aurally imbibing the sounds of the various resident DJ's cutting some seriously mellow yet rough-edged wax & gazing out upon the cud-chewing herds of 'normal' people. Milkshakes / smoothies are without doubt the 2nd best in the multiverse (of course there's always one better - my kiwi fruit / banana / strawberry + brown sugar home-made extravaganzas are simply the best) - try the mango! - & help the 'erb go down niiiicely ;]

I bought some Edelweiss here, I can't remember the price but I think it was on a par with elsewhere. It was a decent smoke, nothing brilliant but decent never the less. You buy your grass from a little counter upstairs where the guy weighs the weed in front of you. There is a pool table upstairs. Reasonable place but not memorable.

Despite having nothing to do with the film this is a good place to hang out. It has a pool table, really nice staff (one of them gave me half her doob cause my drinks took a while) and try the milkshakes, 3 euros but worth every penny but don't try the toilets, they're in a cupboard under the stairs and I'm six foot tall.

My first coffee shop in Amsterdam. Watch the steps, they're steep, skinny and fun to negotiate when high, specially the last step as you turn left at the bottom. The dealers were real nice, recommended the Kasmier, about 7.00 euro, used there party bong (the stem needs to be fixed) sat by the window and toked up. Nice high after about 3-4 hits. Worth the visit and easy to find.

The Blues Brother coffeeshop was the kind of place where everyone stops what they are doing and look at you when you walk in. If you can imagine the western movies where the guy is playing the piano and suddenly stops.. you know what I'm talking about.. .. Another major problem was the poor quality of chairs.. when you are a little mashed and you perch at the bar, you don't want to be dealing with chairs that are about to break. Although we did try Supershakes here.. which is a small tub of grinded bud and crystals and a glass of flavoured milk to put it in..! Oh God.. that was great. Toilets were down an unnecessarily long and narrow passageway.

2 floors, downstairs bar and comfy seats (busy at night) friendly bar staff music = trance/ dance. Upstairs dealers counter, pool table (you'll be lucky if you get to use it though) music = chilled out beats. Neway great weed bought 1.8 grams Blueberry for around the price of a gram in places like Barneys. Didn't try the hash but they looked good and reasonably priced. Also go here if you want to buy cheap shrooms (cheapest I found in 2 days from over 50 shops n damm worth it)

Used to pop in this place, before we usually went anywhere, my wifey and our friends loved the space shakes, its quite a large coffeeshop with 2 levels, downstairs they had a drinks counter with a seating at the back, comfy seats too. upstairs is the dealers counter just as you walk through the door. The dealer was very helpful as I had 2 mates with me that hadn't been to A'dam and sorted them out with some nice mellow gear "Eidelwiss" there also more seating upstairs with tables and a FREE pooltable. Menu was fairly large quite cheap too as everything's sold by the gram and nothing's more than about 7 euros, you can also sit near the open windows upstairs and watch all the crowds wander the street below.
