Netherlands coffeeshops are rather embattled at the moment. Over the last five years or so many shops have been closed down and the survivors are being very careful to stay within the law. Conspicuous consequences of this tightening up include frequent ID checks on younger-looking customers and some closure of web sites.
By "official" websites I mean the ones owned by the coffeeshops themselves rather than independent sites like this one.
One of the regulations concerning coffeeshops is that they are not allowed to advertise. Increasingly, this has been interpreted as applying to web sites. Whereas many sites used to feature menus and price lists, most now make little reference to cannabis and some have closed down altogether.
Some e-mail addresses have closed along with their associated URLs. It is also worth mentioning that, generally, coffee shops aren’t very good at answering messages. They get so bombarded with mails asking to buy marijuana by mail order (NO shop offers such a service) or looking for work in the shop, that they don’t answer any.
