Being from the US, we liked this place. Mainly cuz we could also drink. We met a lot of other US travelers and stuff, so that was cool. The bartender was really nice and showed my man how to break up hash. Compared to the other Bulldog we went to (the Palace, yikes - big tourist trap), this was very mellow and prices, quality were good.

Top place, various music, nice window seat and good lager.
Oh and we like it because my husband asked to marry him there in 2002.

The first joint I ever smoke, I smoke there. That was in 1995. At that time I must go there on every Amsterdam visit. (Like a turtle, when they're putting eggs in the beach). I was there about 10 times and more. I must say, the workers are very friendly. There only a small selection of weed and hash, but what they sell, serves the purpose (It make stoned).

I went to the Bulldog Rockshop coffeeshop 3 or 4 times because it was right around the corner from my hotel and next to the Hard rock cafe. Each time, I hoped that it would be better the next time. This coffeeshop is dark and dirty. the tables are crusty. The workers staired at me. The smoke wasn't hi-quality at all. If you consider this mc'donald's style chain good then you must consider fast food to be a cuisine. I give it a 1 on a 1-10 scale. Boo!
