The best coffeeshop in Leiden. I come here all the time, because the personnel is extremely friendly and helpful, the weed is excellent, and like Coffee and Dreams, or LaRoca in Leiden, it has a buy-and-save system. With every 6 euros or so spent you get 1 free sticker. When you usually buy 2 grams of 6 euro weed or stuff you get 2 stickers. The only exceptions are the more expensive weeds or hashes which are 1 gram or less but yield two stickers, like Waterhasj (around 12 euros for less than 1 gram I believe) or the exceptional Super Silver Haze (11 euros 1 gram). I highly recommend the latter and haven't tried the former. Anyway, 10 stickers gives you a free bag of skunk worth 4,50 , but if you add 1,50 you can buy the more common weeds for 6 euros. I have also tried the more common weeds, White Widow, Edelweiss, NLS, and Superskunk. The White Widow is very good but the weed smells of course and doesn't taste as nice as the Edelweiss, which has a very refined happy high and tastes excellent. I highly recommend the latter because it's just damn good and it seemed many people agreed with me when I overheard the orders over the counter while I was sitting there with a friend. NLS is extremely strong, much more so than WW or EW. To have nice seating you will have to come around opening time at 16:00 or around the evening hours to sit nicely at a table, since seating is quite sparse and the shop is quite small, but nevertheless excellent. Lastly, I tried Spoetnik hash which cost 6 euros for 1 gram and it was excellent. Not many have been to this shop, but believe me it is a lot more honest than any other coffeeshop in Leiden and it has great weed.

These shops are a little off the beaten path so you may need to ask directions (we did at a smart shop). These people were very cool, got some bio NL-5 and some coffee as well as a few souvenir lighters. The staff was jocular and conversative; nice because although the seating is ample the walkways are tight. Left my bag (and not of herb, my bag with everything but our passports and clothes in it) there for 2 hours, and it didn't move. Not an inch! One of the barkeeps saw me come in and indicated that it was where I had left it, under the table and flashed me a thumbs up; as if to say "good show remembering where it would be!" Really liked this place, is getting some renovation done on the outside.

Leidsplein is simply the best coffeeshop in Leiden. It's situated between Rapenburg and Brestraat. When you are in front of the LVC (on Brestraat) take the perpendicular street on the other side of the street. In this same little street, there is a coffeeshop called Bee-Bop (where I would advice the Suppasista), keep on going on until you find Leisplein, which is at the crossing of 2 streets. The shop is at the angle, it is pretty discrete but you can't miss it. I would hardly suggest you to try my favourite weed: the BIO-SKUNK, not the strongest but definitly tasty!!! Enjoy your time in Leiden, I had there the best time of my life.... Good luck.
